City Sound Radio is launching a new chapter for live music in Chelmsford with Live at the Hot Box, a new show celebrating emerging and established artists from across Essex.
Previously known as New Music Wednesday, the show returns with a new name, a fresh identity and the same passion for supporting live music and local talent.
The first Live at the Hot Box takes place on Wednesday 26 August, broadcasting from Hot Box Live Events in Chelmsford.
Listeners can expect live performances alongside exclusive artist interviews, with City Sound providing a platform for musicians from Chelmsford and across Essex to showcase their music and connect with new audiences.
The collaboration with Hot Box Live Events puts the show right at the heart of Chelmsford's live music scene, combining a local radio platform with one of the city's live performance venues.
City Sound says the launch marks the beginning of a new era for its live music programming, while continuing the commitment to local music established through New Music Wednesday.
The line-up for the first Live at the Hot Box is set to be announced soon, with City Sound encouraging listeners to keep an eye on its social media channels for further details.
