State Fayre will return to Hylands Park in Chelmsford from 18 to 20 June 2027 following the successful debut of the new music and camping festival.
Early bird tickets for the three-day event are now on sale through the official State Fayre website.
The festival is organised by Festival Republic and Live Nation and combines major live music performances with American-inspired food, entertainment and a full camping experience.
Thousands attend first State Fayre festival
The inaugural State Fayre took place at Hylands Park from 26 to 28 June 2026, welcoming tens of thousands of music fans to Chelmsford.
The festival featured three days of rock, country, folk and Americana-influenced music, alongside barbecue food and other entertainment.
Headline performances came from Kings of Leon, Alanis Morissette and The Lumineers.

The event also featured a large selection of American-style barbecue food through The FUME Pit, hosted by UK barbecue festival FUME.
Award-winning pitmasters and food vendors from the UK and overseas served a range of smoked meats and other barbecue dishes throughout the weekend.
Organisers praise Chelmsford festival crowd
State Fayre organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds said they had wanted to create a festival centred on good music, good food and an enjoyable atmosphere.

“From start to finish, it has been truly moving to see festivalgoers embrace everything State Fayre is about—from iconic headliners with catalogues that have soundtracked so many of our lives to exciting artists across a multitude of genres, phenomenal new voices and the very best in BBQ food.
“What has made it all the more special is the reaction we have received from everyone who came down. Welcoming, friendly and ready to take in every new experience, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
“This is just the beginning, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back when State Fayre opens its doors once more in 2027.”
Positive response to State Fayre’s debut
The first State Fayre received positive feedback from festivalgoers and music publications.
CLASH magazine described the event as a strong debut with a memorable atmosphere and line-up, while Metro praised the experience offered by the new festival.
Attendees also highlighted the organisation of the weekend and the friendly atmosphere at Hylands Park.
Councillor Stephen Robinson, Leader of Chelmsford City Council, said:

When is State Fayre 2027?
State Fayre 2027 will take place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford from Friday 18 June to Sunday 20 June.
The returning festival is expected to feature another programme of international and emerging artists across rock, country, folk and Americana-inspired music.
The full 2027 line-up has not yet been announced.
