Children aged 15 and under can travel free on participating bus services throughout August as part of the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.
To use the offer, children simply need to ask the driver for a child ticket when boarding. No fare should be charged.
The free travel offer applies to services operated by:
Arriva
First Bus
Central Connect
Stephensons of Essex
DigiGo
Essex County Council-funded Park and Ride services
The scheme runs until the end of August, making it easier and more affordable for families to travel around Chelmsford and across Essex during the school holidays.
