Great little pub, decent beer. Didn’t have food here. It’s shame that the open fires were not in use.

Went in for the first time in ages. Liked the look and feel of the pub. Was talking to the new landlord, she was lovely with a good vision of what she wants for the future. Be really nice when the kitchen is up and running in a few weeks. Look forward to going back for a meal .

I've been to a lot of pubs around the Chelmsford area and this is by far my favourite to have a relaxing pint of Guinness. The Guinness is by far one of the best around. They make you feel welcome and is a great place to sit and relax and catch up with sport on the TV.

Everything about this pub was fantastic
The staff are extremely friendly and the service is excellent. It is disabled accessible and the food is very tasty with big portions. We had loaded nachoes, fish pie, steak and kidney pie and fish and chips. To anyone stopping or passing through I thoroughly recommend this place. If I were a local I'd be here all the time.

Autumn made us feel welcome, it's basic looking inside but we felt very comfortable in there would definitely go back for another lovely Guinness
