Stayed for two nights when my partner had an exam in Chelmsford.
The hotel is well located but does lack on site parking. There is paid parking nearby, but that is an extra cost.
The room was clean but a bit used, the carpets were a bit stained. The bathroom wasn't 100%, the plugs don't look like they are cleaned regularly, but otherwise in good nick.
Close to the train station, less than 5 minute walk as well as shops and take aways.

My company has a contract with premier inn so I have stayed in many of their hotels around the country. I’ve never had a bad stay but the Chelmsford city centre location stands head and shoulders above the rest. The common areas and rooms are always immaculate and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Working away from home is never a joy but the people at Chelmsford make it a pleasure.

Liz who served us at breakfast gave us exceptional service. Even with a large amount of guests, may of us who had not pre booked, she was brilliant! She was so friendly, cheerful and helpful, she worked so hard to keep the food coming. Thanks Liz, you're an asset to Premier Inn.

5 start because the staff are simply exceptional. Extremely kind, helpful and all around great people. The room was clean and the reception area has recently been refurbished and it looks stunning.
Loved my stay, but the staff are simply amazing. Keep it up and i wish them all the best because they deserve it (and a raise)

Considering this is a fairly new built building, the rooms are not in great shape.
The stink of cigarette smoke, even though it is non smoking in the building, making the air quality in the rooms poor. Not the most conducive for a good night sleep, which I might I did not get.
Yeah, not brilliant.
