A little gem of a place. The cheese stall is a must with an extensive range. The butcher is good value. The yarn stall is well stocked and priced and we are blessed with two plant stalls. There are also fruit and veg, books, bags, haberdashery, mats and doors, ironmonger, cards etc. on some market days there is a second hand market. Use it or lose it people, it's the only traditional market in town.

It is the place where you can buy non processed food in Chelmsford. For instance different meat cuts from the butcher. A good assortment of cheese, Jamaican food, Italian food and ingredients, etc.

Today I found this little gem for a latte and fresh croissant at a good price
It's tucked away down towards the meat stall
Italian lady making fresh breads and rolls and pizza too,the premises are exceptionally clean and when the bread comes from the oven the aroma is delightful:
There are a couple of tables and chairs to sit inside if you prefer or you can take away.
I bought a tiger loaf and it was so fresh and delicious ,I will definitely be returning for another coffee and try a soda bread loaf next time: I'm
The lady makes fresh pizza panini's and either lasagna or tortellini to eat in or take away all very tasty
Check opening times as not open every day.
