Today I found this little gem for a latte and fresh croissant at a good price
It's tucked away down towards the meat stall
Italian lady making fresh breads and rolls and pizza too,the premises are exceptionally clean and when the bread comes from the oven the aroma is delightful:
There are a couple of tables and chairs to sit inside if you prefer or you can take away.
I bought a tiger loaf and it was so fresh and delicious ,I will definitely be returning for another coffee and try a soda bread loaf next time: I'm
The lady makes fresh pizza panini's and either lasagna or tortellini to eat in or take away all very tasty

I like the cheese stall, where there is plenty to choose from and some prices are very low compared with supermarkets. I was starting to look forward to browsing this market every week, then I approached the fruit & veg stall. Oh dear, I got told off! I mustn't walk up to the rear of this, to choose a lemon for myself! I left, but not before noticing that the browning and bruised fruit wasn't nice in any case. In Braintree, I found a fruit & veg stall with lovely produce - and a welcome.

Really enjoyed it here. Well worth a visit. So many stalls and a really good vibe about the place. Nice to see a market like this still doing well.

It's OK for an I door market the surprise is there is some nice food shops especially the Thai bar and noodle shop. Small Caribbean food stall (have yet to try) a good butcher and a cheese stall. Pushing a wheelchair around is good so very accessible.

Good place to visit for independent traders. The cheese stall is the best you will find, Household goods and ironmongery, flowers and plants, Italian bakery, natural whole foods, haberdashery, butcher, fruit and veg, yarn and a lot more. It's worth supporting small traders otherwise we will be left with chain stores and Amazon.
