A great park to visit during the warmer months. Plenty of space and benches, and a cute pond to sit around. It has both walking and cycling lanes through it.

I was in Chelmsford for a few days in September to drop my daughter at Writtle University. I'd not stepped foot in Chelmsford before, but nice place.
Central Park runs right through the town, and along the river. Its got some nicely landscaped areas in the center and some great walks, we went as far as Writtle. The whole park is well kept, nicely landscaped, attractive, and feels safe. There's a well marked and segregated pedestrian and bicycle lane that runs along the river.
The park was well used, but is so big it didn't feel busy. There's a few coffee shops and play areas, and on the day we were there, there was a fun run in the morning, and a 'Beats and Eats' festival in the afternoon.
Festival was great! Not sure how often they run events at the park, but this was a good afternoon out.
Hit the thumbs up if this was helpful 👍
