This hospital is bright, modern and well organised. Sometimes its a while tp get a referralbut I habe had nothing less than excellent care there, with a particular shout out to the Orthotists in the surgical appliances department.
Parking isnt easy or cheap, and if you are able to walk I would advise this. I park up to a 20 min walk away and enjoy the walk!
Found the lego hospital today as well which was cool.

Shocking treatment of my mum, some consultants should be ashamed of themselves. Basically she was left to die in hospital, the consultants knew this, but still insisted that mum worked with the physios to stand from bed and transfer to the chair, they knew she had a fractured spine and ribs from the cancer and yet they INSISTED she went through this everyday, with tears pouring down her cheeks. We trusted them, that they knew best!!! I do not believe that now😡. They also told mum that she was going to die. Even after promises of chemo and radiotherapy!!! Which she never got. The look on her face will haunt me forever, whatever happened to your bedside manner. It’s disgraceful treatment!!!!!! Her funeral was 2 weeks ago, just before Christmas, as no ward doctor could be bothered to go and sign her paperwork, 2-3 times a day I rang the ward for 8 days pleading with them to go and sign, so that the funeral directors could go and collect her, on the 8th day I rang PALS , mums paperwork was signed on the same day!! Our hearts are shattered. She was 77, a wife, mum and grandmother, gone too soon. Bless mum, brave right to her last breath❤️

My 89 year old mother was admitted after a fall. The service provided in A and E and in particular by Dr Shadman was excellent. He quickly and efficiently arranged CT scans and X rays and completed all the documentation to have her admitted to Acute Frailty Unit to enable her to receive further treatment. It was truly 5 star service.

Had a fall today which resulted in a visit to A & E. After an X-Ray, the result was a double fracture in my foot. The service I received from start to finish was fantastic. Left my home at 3.30pm and got home just after 6pm. I could not fault them in any way.

The treatment in this hospital is borderline neglect. Parking is SO difficult. Patients' private information folders all swapped around the ward so anyone can read them, incorrect patient information above the beds, catheter bags left to overflow and SPILL onto the floor, elderly patients not given medication ordered 6 days prior, old urine from previous patients in the toilet, patients left to get bed sores and not treated. LOOK AFTER your loved ones if they end up here- staff have an attitude of shock that they have to care for their patients!
