Sunday Worship at Chelmsford Citadel
Our main service takes place each Sunday in the Main Worship Hall, lasting around 75 to 90 minutes. You’ll be greeted by our Welcome Team, who will help you settle in and find a seat if needed. Our meetings are relaxed and inclusive — some attendees wear Salvation Army uniforms, while others come dressed casually.
Worship at Chelmsford Citadel blends traditional hymns and classic Salvation Army songs with modern worship music, creating a balance of lively celebration and quiet reflection. Every service includes music, prayer, and an inspiring message designed to uplift and encourage.
A Church for Everyone
We believe church should be full of life and joy — so there’s no need to whisper here! Our doors are open to everyone, no matter your background, age, or experience of faith.
