HayPigs!® – The Home of Happy Guinea Pigs in Chelmsford
HayPigs!® was founded by husband-and-wife duo Rik and Helen right here in the UK, born out of their love for two very special guinea pigs — Nutmeg and Neptune. Their journey began in 2014 when they adopted the pair from their local guinea pig rescue in Essex. What started as a simple act of love soon turned into a full-blown passion for these adorable, characterful little creatures.
Nutmeg and Neptune were spoiled from day one — a luxury hutch, toys, tunnels, and treats galore! But when the toys wore out and the tunnels fell apart, Rik and Helen noticed something: there just weren’t enough fun, high-quality, and innovative products designed especially for guinea pigs.
As luck would have it, Rik was a professional product designer with over a decade of experience — and the perfect person to take on the challenge. So together, they set out to create something truly unique: a range of award-winning, guinea pig–specific products, all designed for and tested by Guinea Pigs™ themselves!
Today, HayPigs!® is proudly based in Chelmsford, Essex, and continues to bring joy to guinea pigs (and their humans) all over the world.
