About

Chelmsford Round Table – Community, Friendship & Fun in Essex

Founded in 1937, Chelmsford Round Table brings together a group of young men passionate about making a difference in their local community while enjoying great camaraderie along the way. Far from being a traditional committee, this lively club combines charity work, social events, and friendship to create a positive impact across Chelmsford.

Giving Back to Chelmsford

The group is best known for organising the spectacular fireworks display at Admirals Park every November, as well as escorting Santa around Chelmsford each December to bring festive cheer to local families. Their community events – from quizzes and treasure hunts to summer fetes – raise valuable funds for local charities and good causes throughout Essex.

Friendship and Social Events

Chelmsford Round Table isn’t just about fundraising; it’s also about fun and fellowship. Members meet twice a month, taking part in a wide range of social and sporting activities such as canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, high ropes courses, curry nights, escape rooms, and even international trips. Each gathering offers the chance to connect, unwind, and challenge each other to try something new.

Join Chelmsford Round Table

Membership is open to men aged 18 to 45, regardless of background, religion, or political views. There are no pledges or formalities – just a welcoming environment for those who want to contribute to their community and build lifelong friendships.
