Chelmsford Community Radio (CCR) is the city’s dedicated community station — founded in 2013 to give Chelmsford and its surrounding villages a true voice. We’ve grown into a trusted, inclusive platform that celebrates local stories, talent, events and creativity.
From our National Lottery–funded studios to our passionate volunteer team, we champion kindness, opportunity and community spirit every single day. Many of our presenters have gone on to careers at the BBC, ITV, Heart, Radio X, Capital, Bauer and other major broadcasters — proof of the training, support and real opportunities we provide.
Supported by grants, fundraising and local sponsorship, we continue to broadcast proudly, bringing Chelmsford together one show at a time — a station where everyone is welcome, and every voice matters.
