Alongside my work as a product photographer, I also write a blog on my website called Hot Takes. It’s where I share my thoughts on photography, creativity, and the things I see happening in the industry — the good, the frustrating, and the genuinely interesting.
I started Hot Takes as a space to talk honestly about the work I do and the wider creative world around it. It’s not about trends for the sake of trends, and it’s definitely not about buzzwords. It’s about real experiences, real projects, and the thinking that goes into creating strong, effective imagery for brands.
What I Write About
On Hot Takes, you’ll find a mix of opinion, insight and behind-the-scenes perspective.
I write about the creative industry as it really is, including topics like AI imagery — what it can do, where it falls short, and why human creativity still matters more than ever. Rather than jumping on hype, I like to look at how these changes actually affect brands and visual storytelling in the real world.
I also talk about what really goes into a professional photography shoot. From planning and problem-solving to creative decisions that happen long before the camera comes out, I share the parts of the process that often go unseen, but make all the difference to the final images.
Some posts are reflections on real projects — those moments when a shoot just works. I write about collaboration, trust and clarity, and why the best results come from strong creative partnerships rather than rushed, one-size-fits-all solutions.
I’m also drawn to the emotional side of photography. You’ll see posts about nostalgia, film, and why certain images feel more powerful than others. For me, great visuals aren’t just about how something looks — they’re about how it makes people feel.
Why I Share This
I write Hot Takes for brands, marketers and creatives who want to understand photography beyond the surface. It’s for people who care about quality, originality and using imagery with intention — not just filling space on a website or social feed.
If you’re curious about how I think, how I work, and how I approach creative challenges, Hot Takes is the best place to start.
