We love our extension. Delighted with the finished result. All the staff at Hylands Homes were professional and produced a quality build.
Our extension was complex involving existing under floor heating to our second floor and steels put in place via a crane delivery over the roof. I knew that with Jon and Ben and their team we were in safe hands and the finished result is testament to that.

We used Hylands Homes for prebuild assistance on our extension plans once we had approval. They were excellent at translating the plans into designs, were incredibly knowledgable and flexible when we decided we needed to change things and also gave us excellent advise when considering different elements of the build. Both Jon and Katrina were friendly, helpful and patient with us and our experience with them was first rate.

It's hard to know where to begin!
We started our journey with Hylands Homes after we'd been through the planning stages and had used a seperate architect to draw up our vision for the house.
From the very first interaction with Jon onsite going through the plans and discussing how we planned to use the new space I knew we were talking to the right company.
As a person who deals in a lot of detail within my professional life, the effor that was put into the initial estimate by Katrina and the subequent final quote from the team was impressive. I cannot undersell the confidence the detail in the contract gave me in going forward with Hylands. Everything was in black and white and signed together in regards to what was and was not included in the fixed price.
The fixed price was also a huge selling point for me, all of the fears I had from tales I'd heard about extensions/renovations going over budget and suprise costs just evaporated as Jon explained how their pricing worked. Clearly highlighting the limited areas where costs could change (mainly due to groundworks as there was understandably no guarantee of what the team would find once they started digging!)
Once work started the communication was flawless, through the whatsapp group chat we knew who would be onsite and when. Most importantly we knew the days in advance when people wouldn't be onsite (although that was less than a handful of days over the 6 month build) so we never felt we needed to be following up to find out where people were.
Brian and the groundworks team were very friendly and well mannered, helping us to relocate some plants to save them which we hadn't considered until they pointed it out!
Leon and the bricklaying team were always prompt and ontime and just a pleasure to interact with,
Then the rest of the team we met Alex, Fraser, Kieran, Stuart, Alfie and Mason were just fantastic.
The site was always tidy, the temporary internal wall Hylands provided enabled us to keep on living in the house whilst the work was done.
The attention to detail throughout was perfect and we couldn't be happier with the result.
Special mention to Ben as well, just a great project manager, approachable and knowledgeable. Always had time to talk and explain anything that was unclear.
I'm sad the journey is over but there is not a doubt in my mind that if i did any further work on the house, Hylands Homes would be my first and only port of call.

Hylands Homes have been fantastic in delivery of our side extension with Jon and Ben taking full responsibility for running the project, keeping in close contact with us throughout and responding quickly to all our questions. All the teams that we saw were really hard working, collaborative and friendly with top quality workmanship and attention to detail. It wasn't straight forward with piling and lots of steels (and a family of four living in amongst it all) but the whole team were really creative and pragmatic in solving all issues and we are extremely happy with the result. Ben in particular was excellent at explaining everything across all parts of the build and never ever gave up until things were just right which we really appreciated. The build did take much longer than was originally expected but the team kept us up to date at all times.
