I went to Grace and Lace at the end of May with my wedding being at the beginning of October the same year! I found my dream dress and they managed to order my dress in time for my wedding. It arrived at the shop just over a week before my wedding day and they got me in right away for alterations. They did the alterations within 1 day and I was back 2 days later to try my final dress on again! Absolutely amazing service, so quick and helpful. Every time I called they were able to help, advise and sort anything I asked. I also attended their shop in Colchester to try on the same dress but in the blush version and also try on some veils. The ladies there were so lovely and such a nice feel to the shop. So impressed with their service! It really helped that they do their own in house alterations as I didn’t have to worry about getting someone else to do it, especially in my tight time frame, they did it so quickly. They also offer to keep the dress in their shop until the day before your wedding day so that you don’t have to worry about storing it at home in the lead up to your wedding. Thank you ladies, I was so happy with my dress and felt like a real life princess!

The best wedding shop!
I visited Grace and Lace last year to try on wedding dresses and was lucky enough to say yes!
The girls were so helpful from start to finish and made me feel at ease! I tried a variety of dresses on and really valued their honesty. It really helped with narrowing down choices!
Grace and Lace were an absolute pleasure to work with and were so helpful and lovely throughout! From helping pick my dress to the alterations process. I cannot thank them enough.
My dress fit perfectly and really reflected my personality. I felt amazing on my wedding day and a big part of that I owe to Grace and Lace.
I would recommend the shop to anyone!

Had the most wonderful experience in the Chelmsford store with Julia on Saturday. As the bride to be, I did feel quite nervous at the thought of picking the dress that was right for me, but as soon as I walked up to the store and was greeted by Julia I felt completely at ease and her knowledge is second to none.
Out of the beautiful selection of dresses this lovely store has, it was Julia that actually went and picked the dress she thought I would like and it was the one! Julia didn't rush me and she took her time in making sure I walked out of there knowing I had tried all the styles on and that I absolutely knew what I had chosen was perfect for me.
I never thought I would purchase my dress in the first store I visited, but Julia's patience and help made it the best morning.
A massive thank you from me and I can't wait to go back for my fitting.

The second dress I ever tried on ended up being 'my' dress - Maggie Sottero Pernille (my brief was I wanted a dress that wasn't too heavy that I could dance in and just be me) . The ladies at Grace & Lace in Chelmsford were so lovely from the start, Ruth in particular was with me every step of the way - even when our wedding was postponed a year. I would definitely recommend Grace & Lace. My cathedral length veil was also purchased from the store :)

Went to shop in Chelmsford yesterday with my Daughter. From the minute you arrive the staff member is friendly, polite, professionsl and very helpful. Lots to choose from and a sale was on. My daughter tried on several dresses and the Staff member was happy to take photos for her. At the end she convinced my Daughter to try on a dress that was different to what she had said she wanted. Well, that was the one!!!! We ended up buying it. Many thanks to the professionalism of the Staff member. If you visit Grace and Lace you will not be disappointed. The whole experience was over and above.
